Topbar Bee Hive

This Top Bar Bee Hive has been crafted by a professional furniture maker from locally milled Cedar. It has had a natural linseed and wax coating applied to the exterior as an additional natural timber preserve. All timber joints have been glued and screwed with stainless steel for longevity. The Top Bar's have been seasoned with beeswax in preparation for your honey bees to start building their magical comb. It comes complete with two follower boards and 28 Top Bars. 

There is a viewing window, mesh floor (for varroa mite control) and adjustable hinged base, for extra warmth in winter. Dimensions 1100mm long x 500mm wide and 900mm high. This hive can house two seperate colonies at once.

This simple design provides everything your bees require, year round, in one unit. This premium product will provide a home for your bees for many years and will withstand everything the New Zealand weather has to throw at it.
